# Idea
If subjects are required to name the color of the word red printed in blue ink (see [[Stroop task]]), interference between word meaning and ink color occurs, which slows down reaction time and decreases accuracy.
Reaction times increase linearly from congruent to neutral to incongruent to [[negative priming Stroop effect]].
