# Idea
When formalizing a model, we first have to lay down the parts by making clear what matters and what doesn't. Then, we specify the relationships between the parts. Models force us to think through the logic behind problems.
Models allow us to induce. We can use models to predict and infer [[counterfactuals]]. We can use models to simulate and predict.
Models allow us to identical logical boundaries. Two heads are better than one versus too many cooks spoil the broth. Models specify the conditions under which a statement holds.
Models improve communication.
