The adage "you get out what you put in" is rarely true, especially in business.
If your product is only half as good as your competitor's, you often don't get half as many customers. You get no customers and you go out of business.
The rich get richer. It's a [[power law]] function. A few wealthy individuals will dominate. That's just capitalism. Even [[Charlie Munger]] admitted that when capitalism is functioning well, we should expect a few dominant players to emerge.
